South Asian Centre Hosts Successful Life Certificate Camp

The South Asian Centre of Windsor is thrilled to share the success of our recent Free Life Certificate Camp, held on November 17, 2024, at the Caboto Club in partnership with the Consulate General of India, Toronto. This event was a tremendous success, with over 200 participants and more than 85 South Asian seniors from the diverse Indian community receiving their life certificates.

We are deeply grateful to the @Consulate General of India, Toronto, for sending a dedicated 5-member team to Windsor to make this possible, as well as to @Windsor Police Service for their security and support. A heartfelt thank you also goes out to all our volunteers, whose efforts made the event run smoothly.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our community partners for their invaluable support in promoting the event: @icaWindsor, @Hindu Temple Cultural Centre, @Gurudwara Khalsa Prakash, @GujaratiSamajWindsor, as well as the members of various local WhatsApp groups, including WindsorEssex Tamil Cultural Association, Windsor Telugu Association, Kannada Balaga Windsor, Bharatiya Samaj, and South Asian Seniors of Windsor, among others.

This collaborative effort allowed our South Asian seniors to receive their certificates without the need to travel outside Windsor, and the positive feedback from attendees is a testament to the success of this initiative. Thank you to everyone involved for making this event a great success!
