South Asian Centre of Windsor awarded Community Services Recovery Fund 2023-2024

We are pleased to share that South Asian Centre of Windsor is one of the 51 recipients of the Community Services Recovery Fund (CSRF). These funds will go towards building a resilient South Asian Centre with a review and development of organizational systems for good governance. This will help our organization adapt to new demands and deliver on the mission effectively.

Our heartfelt thanks to Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), Community Foundations of Canada and Windsor-Essex Community Foundation for their unwavering support to the needs of the south asian community and helping the organization to prepare for the post-pandemic challenges. On October 13, we were honoured to participate at John McGivney Centre in the CSRF Announcement and round-table  Windsor-Essex Community Foundation, United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County and Member of Parliament Windsor-Tecumseh Irek Kusmeirczyk  to share the need, progress and impact the grant has been making to our organization.

With the above grant, the  centre has been engaged in the development of a strategic plan and a review of constitution and by-laws. Diverse stakeholders within the Windsor-Essex community have been involved in providing input on the plan as it will impact the direction of the centre in meeting the needs of a growing south asian community in the region. We are extremely pleased with the engagement and the progress being made on the project and will soon be sharing the outcomes with you.
