CSIF Connect Opportunity | Applications Close on May 1st at 10pm

May 1, 2026

Are you a BPOC film lover excited about showcasing award-winning films and bringing work by Oscar and Emmy-nominated BPOC filmmakers to your community?

Join CISF CONNECT, a free program run by the Canadian Independent Screen Fund.

CISF CONNECT builds meaningful connections and engages community through the art of cinematic storytelling.

From May to September 2026, the program will be held remotely, offering flexible virtual training and sessions for participants in Windsor, ON; St. John’s, NL; and Terrace, BC.

During this time, you’ll learn how to curate titles, promote films, engage audiences through community outreach, and create events that spark both conversation and action—all while amplifying diverse Canadian voices.

At the end of the program, you’ll organize and lead your own screenings, putting your newly learned skills to use.

Our sincere thanks to Telefilm Canada, Bell Fund, and the Canada Media Fund for their support of CISF CONNECT.

The CISF CONNECT Program is presented in association with the Anti-Racism Coalition Newfoundland and Labrador, Skeena Diversity Society, and South Asian Centre of Windsor.

If you love film and event planning, apply today.
