Call for Directors

Proudly serving the community since 1986, the South Asian Centre of Windsor (SACW) is a registered non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to supporting individuals of South Asian origin—including those from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka—as well as Canadians with South Asian heritage.

As part of our Board expansion, we are inviting applications for several Director positions. Recruitment will take place in both the Youth category and the Open category. Youth candidates are especially encouraged to apply, as we value fresh perspectives and emerging leadership. We welcome candidates with experience or interest in areas such as: Accounting/Finance, Fundraising and Board Governance.

How to Apply

Interested candidates are invited to submit a one-page bio outlining:

Professional background and educational qualifications
Community or volunteer involvement
Board or committee experience (if any)
Key skills, interests, and the unique perspectives they bring

Applicants are encouraged to include letters of reference in support of their application. Selected Directors will receive orientation and training. The expected commitment is approximately 10–15 hours per month, including monthly Board meetings and optional committee work.
